INTRODUCTION: The Weight of Christmas

We often blame the Christmas dinner for our heaviness. But in Ayurveda, we know that we digest more than just food. We digest conversations, family dynamics, and the accumulated stress of the year.

If your Agni (Digestive Fire) is weak, you cannot process these experiences. They turn into Ama—toxic residue that settles in the gut, muscles, and arteries.

THE YOGVEDA DETOX PROTOCOL : Mechanical & Energetic Cleansing

Diet alone is not enough. This week in our Bern studio, we practiced the specific Yogveda Detox Protocol to physically wring out toxins. This is the difference between a generic class and Master-Level instruction.

Here is the science of how we detoxify the system:

  1. Asana (Mechanical Detox) We don't just stretch; we activate. By sequentially tightening and stretching specific muscle groups, we squeeze stagnant blood and toxins from the joints, arteries, veins, and the nervous system. When we release the pose, fresh, oxygenated blood floods the tissue, flushing out the Ama.

  2. Pranayama (Respiratory Detox) We use deep breathing combined with Kumbhaka (Breath Retention) to increase internal heat. This pressure forces toxins out of the respiratory system and oxygenates the blood at a cellular level.

  3. Meditation (Neurological Detox) The mind accumulates toxins too. Through deep relaxation of the brain and breath, we allow the nervous system to switch off "defense mode," allowing true healing to occur.

3 STEPS TO REIGNITE THE FIRE : The Dietary Support. Agni Ayurveda Bern.

To support this physical work, you must adjust your intake.

  1. The Hot Water Ritual: Sip hot water every 15 minutes. It literally melts the crystallized Ama released by your Asana practice.

  2. The Ginger Spark: Chew ginger and salt before meals to wake up the stomach acid.

  3. The 14-Hour Fast: Stop eating at 7 PM. Give your Agni space to burn through the backlog.

The Bridge to Dharma

You cannot see your future through a fog. By combining the Yogveda Detox Practice with these Ayurvedic tips, you clear the vessel.
