Every year, people spend thousands on ergonomic chairs, chiropractors, and massages to fix their chronic neck and lower back pain. They are desperately trying to fix their posture by pulling their shoulders back or stretching their spine.

But if a skyscraper is leaning, an engineer does not try to fix the roof; they examine the concrete foundation. In the human body, your foundation is the ankle joint, and the primary anchor is the Achilles tendon. If your Achilles is short and tight, perfect posture is biologically impossible.

Wearing shoes with elevated heels (even standard running shoes) places the foot in constant plantar flexion, permanently shortening the calf muscles and the Achilles.
