Introduction: Unlock Your Core Workshop

Welcome to the "Unlock Your Core" yoga workshop! Today, we’ll explore the fascinating world of your core muscles and how to strengthen them for better health, stability, and vitality.

The core is more than just your abs—it includes a group of muscles that work together to support your spine, pelvis, and overall movement. Here are the main muscles of your core:

  • Rectus Abdominis (your "six-pack" muscles, responsible for forward bending).

  • Transverse Abdominis (deep muscles that wrap around your torso like a corset, providing stability).

  • Internal and External Obliques (side muscles that help with twisting and side bending).

  • Erector Spinae (muscles along your spine that support your back).

  • Pelvic Floor Muscles (which provide support for your internal organs).

  • Diaphragm (your main breathing muscle).

  • Iliopsoas (deep hip flexors connected to the lower spine and pelvis).

Why Is a Strong Core Important?

If your core is weak, you might experience:

  • Poor posture and slouching.

  • Lower back pain and discomfort.

Through carefully selected yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques), we’ll:
